Plants for UPVC Windows
This is the first molten salt power tower that will be built. It’s in Spain. It is built at this point and this going through check out. I received an invitation to the dedication with a question mark on when the date would be but… I’m supposed to save the date. It’s being done by [SanAir] and partners.
It’s called Gemasolar. It is also considered on the stage of UPVC doors and UPVC windows production. It looks just, in concept, just like the Solar Two schematic I showed you. It’s two-tank storage, large heliostat area, tower height, 150 meters. This is one of the issues that comes up as you start to build these bigger plants.
The power height on a power tower goes up and it starts to become an issue for where you’re located relative to airports, if you’re putting one up in Nevada, whether the Nevada test site pilots likethe idea of a big tower out there.
